Infrastructure Release Management Application (IRMA) is a custom application to support the Release and Change Managers in the Post Implementation Review after the Changes on the infrastructure or network have been performed. IRMA is a tool to plan, involve support groups, perform and review the infrastructure functional tests.IRMA  IRMA contains a lot of supporting and configuration forms. Almost no logic has been “hard coded” – the application is highly configurable. As the User Interface it offers 4 views with different focuses: Consolidated View for the Support Group members performing the tests Release Manager View, which contains all data needed to manage the “Test Run” Management View presenting high level overview of active and closed test runs Reporting View with the statistics of the current run and graphical charts Infrastructure Release Management Application offers a wide range of functions, like: Impact Analysis based on CMDB relationships Notifications via e-mail and/or SMS (text message) – triggered by event or on demand Milestone Escalations towards Support Group members, Release Management team, Customer Support Managers and if needed Customers Grouping of items to minimize the amount of tests Automated creation of Incidents in case a component test fails and much more… IRMA is closely integrated with Change and Release ITSM Modules, CMDB and external Systems like SAP, True Sight etc. It uses Web interfaces and SQL Server Integration to receive and provide data externally. Infrastructure Release Management Application has been designed, developed and implemented by me and is used by customer on a daily basis to manage Releases with up to 60K impacted CIs.
